Not until the 1970's, the first skate park was made in California. Shortly after, the skateboard park boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skateparks that were built in the next twenty years. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
