Skateboarding is a great sport. The first skateboarders rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to take their surfing to the streets. Not until the 1970's, the first skateboard park was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard boom was about to begin. Many skateparks that were built in the next few years. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
