Summitville is a town in Van Buren Township, Madison County, Indiana, United States. It is part of the Anderson, Indiana Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 967 at the 2010 census.
Summitville is located at 40°20′14″N 85°38′35″W / 40.33722°N 85.64306°W / 40.33722; -85.64306 (40.337361, -85.642985).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.3 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,090 people, 420 households, and 304 families residing in the town. The population density was 2,023.6 people per square mile (779.4/km²). There were 437 housing units at an average density of 811.3 per square mile (312.5/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 99.45% White, 0.28% African American, 0.09% Native American, 0.09% Asian, and 0.09% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.55% of the population.
