North Muskegon is a city in Muskegon County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 4,031 at the 2000 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.1 square miles (10.6 km²), of which, 1.8 square miles (4.6 km²) of it is land and 2.3 square miles (6.0 km²) of it (56.48%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 4,031 people, 1,610 households, and 1,135 families residing in the city. The population density was 2,259.2 per square mile (874.4/km²). There were 1,685 housing units at an average density of 944.4 per square mile (365.5/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.22% White, 1.02% African American, 0.20% Native American, 0.37% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.35% from other races, and 0.82% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.31% of the population.
