Mokena is a village in Will County, Illinois, United States. The population was 14,583 at the 2000 census, with a special census conducted in 2007. The 2007 census showed that the population of the village increased to 18,669 people residing within the corporate limits. As of 2009, the population had risen to 19,251 people.
Mokena is located at 41°32′4″N 87°52′37″W / 41.53444°N 87.87694°W / 41.53444; -87.87694.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 6.0 square miles (16 km), all of it land.
Mokena is served by Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210, students attend Lincoln-Way East High School, Lincoln-Way Central High School, and Lincoln-Way North High School.
