Not until the 1970's, the first concrete skateboard park was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard building boom was about to begin. Many skateparks that were built in the next few years. Now there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
