Not until the 1970's, the first skatepark was made in Southern California. Next the skateboard park boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skateparks that were built in the next twenty years. Now there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, , who have brought it to the main stream.
