About
The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to take their surfing to the streets. Many years later, the first skatepark was made in Southern California. No one knew the skateboard park boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skateparks that were built in the next twenty years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, , who have brought it to the main stream.
