The World's first skateboard park was made in Southern California. No one knew the skateboard building boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skate parks that were built in the next dozen years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
