Skateboarding is a great sport. The first skateboarders rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to mimic the waves of surfing. Many years later, the first concrete skateboard park was made in California. Shortly after, the skateboard building boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skate parks that were built in the next dozen years. Now there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, , who have brought it to the main stream.
