Not until the 1970's, the first skate park was made in Southern California. Next the skateboard boom was about to begin. Many skateparks that were built in the next twenty years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
