About
The first skateboarders rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to mimic the waves of surfing. Not until the 1970's, the first concrete skateboard park was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard building boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skateparks that were built in the next dozen years. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, , who have brought it to the main stream.
