The first skateboard park was made in California. No one knew the skateboard building boom was about to begin. Many skate parks that were built in the next twenty years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
