Not until the 1970's, the first skate park was made in California. No one knew the skateboard building boom was about to begin. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
