Not until the 1970's, the first skatepark was made in California. Next the skateboard boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skateparks that were built in the next years. Now there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
