Many years later, the first skate park was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skateparks that were built in the next years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
