It is never too late to start. One of our instructors taught Shaun White how to skateboard when he was just 7 years old.

The first skateboarders rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to mimic the waves of surfing. Many years later, the first skatepark was made in Southern California. Next the skateboard building boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skateparks that were built in the next few years. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
