About
Skateboarding is an activity that everyone should learn. The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools so that they would have an activity to do when the surf wan't good. Many years later, the first skateboard park was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skateparks that were built in the next dozen years. Now there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
