The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools so that they would have an activity to do when the surf wan't good. Not until the 1970's, the first skateboard park was made in California. Shortly after, the skateboard boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skate parks that were built in the next few years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, , who have brought it to the main stream.

Our Students in East Moline
We have students of all ages and levels. We start with safety first, but the rest of the lesson is custom to your level and goals as a skateboarder. It is never too late to start. We have even taught a 78 year-old grandfather who wanted to skate with his grandchildren. One of our instructors taught Shaun White how to skateboard when he was just 7 years old.
