About Skateboarding
The first skaters rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to take their surfing to the streets. The first concrete skateboard park was made in Southern California. Next the skateboard park boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skate parks that were built in the next few years. Now there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
