Not until the 1970's, the first skatepark was made in California. Next the skateboard building boom was about to begin. Thousands skateparks that were built in the next few years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
