Skateboarding is an activity that everyone should learn. The first skateboarders rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels so that they would have an activity to do when the surf wan't good. Not until the 1970's, the first concrete skateboard park was made in Southern California. No one knew the skateboard boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skateparks that were built in the next dozen years. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, , who have brought it to the main stream.
