About Skateboarding
Skateboarding is an activity that everyone should learn. The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to mimic the waves of surfing. The World's first skateboard park was made in Southern California. No one knew the skateboard building boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skateparks that were built in the next dozen years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
