About
Skateboarding is a great sport. The first skaters took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to mimic the waves of surfing. Not until the 1970's, the first skatepark was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skateparks that were built in the next years. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
