Many years later, the first skatepark was made in California. Shortly after, the skateboard boom was about to begin. Thousands skateparks that were built in the next twenty years. Now there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
