Not until the 1970's, the first concrete skateboard park was made in California. Next the skateboard boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skate parks that were built in the next few years. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
