About Skateboarding
The first skaters rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to take their surfing to the streets. Many years later, the first skate park was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skateparks that were built in the next dozen years. Now there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
