About
The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to take their surfing to the streets. The first skatepark was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard park boom was about to begin. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
