About Skateboarding
The first skaters took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to mimic the waves of surfing. The first concrete skateboard park was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard park boom was about to begin. Now there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
