About
The first skaters took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools so that they would have an activity to do when the surf wan't good. Many years later, the first skateboard park was made in Southern California. Next the skateboard building boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skate parks that were built in the next few years. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
