About Skateboarding
The first skateboarders rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to take their surfing to the streets. The first skatepark was made in Southern California. No one knew the skateboard boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skateparks that were built in the next twenty years. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
