Many years later, the first concrete skateboard park was made in Southern California. Next the skateboard boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skateparks that were built in the next few years. Now there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
